First of all, thank you for choosing to find out more about the incredible world of ALYN Hospital.
ALYN Hospital is unique in the world, operating for over 80 years in Israel without distinction as to nationality, religion or ethnicity. We chose “Amici di ALYN, the Italian friends of ALYN Hospital” because we personally know the dedicated people who run the organization which aims to increase awareness of the hospital’s life-changing work and raise funds to support it.
The hospital’s work focuses on the diagnosis and rehabilitation of infants, children and adolescents with physical disabilities from all over the world, all the while paying the utmost attention to the patients’ psychological and motivational concerns. ALYN’s treatments span a wide range of congenital and acquired conditions, including cerebral palsy, neuromuscular diseases, spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, burns.
Each day, customized therapies, prosthetic models, mobility and rehabilitation tools are being developed to improve the lives of many young patients and those of their families as well. Behind each newfound smile, behind each of ALYN's stories, there are hundreds of people and a substantial technological effort involving research, laboratories and state-of-the-art equipment often created specifically for individual patients. This is an effort that ALYN Hospital certainly cannot sustain without the help of generous contributions.
For this reason, we have decided to support together with you Alyn’s PELE project (PELE translates to "wonder" in Hebrew and is also an acronym for "solutions for disabled children") which focuses on developing customized technological solutions to help physically-challenged children to be independent in their daily activities. The PELE project allows the hospital to offer each patient in need the most appropriate support that will enable them to return to school, family, and a social life.
